Petition
Here is the wording from the petition being circulated around town:
We, the undersigned residents of Coventry, R.I., do hereby petition the Coventry Town Council to reject any proposal to build any access road or roads into the Centre of New England using Hopkins Hill School property or using any street or right-of-way that is adjacent to or abuts the Centre of New England. We believe that any such access roads would compromise the safety of our children, cause severe traffic problems, environmental damage and would have a detrimental impact on the quality of life now enjoyed by the children and teachers of Hopkins Hill School and the people of the neighborhoods surrounding the Centre of New England.By signing below, we ask the Town Council to reject any proposals to build access roads through Hopkins Hill School property or through our neighborhoods.
Any Coventry resident, age 18 or older, who would like to sign the petition can contact me to make those arrangements. Thanks.
