Access Road Proposal Withdrawn by CONE Developer
My apologies for not posting earlier this week; I was out of town. Diane Paul filled in for me last Tuesday that the SC meeting. The developer sent a letter to the SC and stated that they were withdrawing their idea of using HH School property for an access road to CONE. I'll have more to say once I obtain a copy of the letter. In the meantime, I would like to thank various parties:
- The School Committee for having this as an agenda item at their 7/18 meeting.
- Superintendent DiPietro for alerting me to the letter received from the developer.
- State Senator Raptakis and State Representative Sullivan for their interest in this issue.
- Diane for speaking on behalf of CARD at the meeting.
- CARD officers and supporters who were at the meeting.
- The HH neighbors who attended the meeting.
- All those who helped to obtain petition signatures and/or distributed flyers.
- Town Council Jendzejec, who offered to hold a meeting at HH School for the public if matters got that far along.
- A special thanks to the 360 of you who signed the petition that was submitted to the Town Council. That got the ball rolling.
This is not necessarily the end of this blog. As stated earlier, I will put up a new post once a copy of the developer's letter is in my hands.
