This plaque is one of many on display in front of New York New York Casino & Hotel in Las Vegas. You want our neighborhood to change for the worse? Do you want sprawl development to encroach and take over the HH area? Then do nothing and it will surely happen. The residents of HH must be ever vigilant. It may be quiet at the moment, but there are always things going on behind the scenes that the public is not privy to. CONE phases 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8 have yet to be planned and built, and that will take many years. The only chance we have at trying to preserve our quiet neighborhood is to keep our eyes on the continuing new development activity near us, attend public meetings to voice our questions/concerns and to discuss these concerns with our elected leaders.
